Kimi Antonelli Gets Valuable Advice from Roger Federer
19-year-old F1 WDC Leader Kimi Antonelli Goes To Wimbledon
Formula 1 championship leader Kimi Antonelli had a memorable first visit to Wimbledon, where he met 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer in the Royal Box.
Following a difficult British Grand Prix, the Mercedes driver enjoyed a conversation with Federer about racing, tennis, and life.
“He told me a lot about the grass court and also about his previous experiences,” Antonelli said. “We chatted about my races, when he used to play, and also about his life in general.”

But Federer also shared some advice about handling pressure — something Antonelli can certainly use as he battles for his first F1 championship.
“He just told me to really focus on one race at a time, focus on what you can control, and also control the emotions, especially the ones that can make you make mistakes.”
Antonelli heads into the Belgian Grand Prix with a 25-point championship lead over Mercedes teammate George Russell.
For the young Italian, advice from a sporting legend like Federer could prove invaluable as the F1 season heats up.
